Village description
It was part of the curatoria and of the diocese of Galtellì and on the borders of its territory there are the ruins of the Castle of Pontes, a fortress built for the defense of the chief-town. The country church of Santu Juanne Istranzu is nice to see, as well as San Giorgio's which was the parish church in the past. There are numerous domus de janas and nuraghi like Sa Linnarta's, close to the territory of Orosei, linked to a nuragic village and probably to a well temple.
