We continue towards Funtana Vona, situated beneath Monte Fumai (1316 m) where we stop for refreshments. A different type of landscape now starts which is characterised by a vegetation of rockroses and visible rocks. We start off again towards Ianna ‘e Ventu passing by Monte sas Codas. We then leave Punta Mandra ‘e Caia (1401 m) on our right towards Serra Luchia from which we descend towards Badde Lullugu and Gremmanu.
We then leave the area of Orgosolo, Lullugu, to enter into the campagna of Fonni, Gremmanu. 19th CENTURY ITINERARY
Montenuovo San Giovanni...
"The mountain is a replica of Perdalianana because this is also surmounted by a magnesite chalk tower, or it is best to say almost completely dolomitic, which lies on an isolated schist conical base. The chapel of San Giovanni is situated on Monte Novo and there is a region called Funtanabona that isn’t far from its feet, with some shepherds’ huts ".
