From Ollolai to Donnortei

 

The departure is scheduled at 09:00 from the Palai farm accommodation in the Ollolai area, from which we reach the residential centre that boasts its ancient historical origins (4.000 years ago) which are testified by the numerous archaeological sites surrounding it.
Having tasted the village’s typical products, we leave for Gavoi, one of the most striking historical centres in the Barbagia, before arriving at Lake Gusana for lunch.
This stage of the journey continues by entering the Fonni area in the direction of Gennargentu to climb up to its highest peak: Monte Spada.
Overnight accommodation is in the marvellous faunal oasis “Donnortei”.
