The Taloro equestrian tourism centre bases its mission on a particular objective: to safeguard and protect horse-based traditions.
Being at one with a horse acts as the first step in learning about the traditions of a territory, its natural equilibriums and its life rules. This is how equitourism becomes ecotourism and man returns to be at one with nature. Choosing a horse as an ideal companion for this adventure is almost natural as horses have always been thoroughly present in Sardinian life.
Our centre organises demonstrations and events associated with horses, becoming part of a unique tourism programme involving the environment, sport and typical manufacturing activities, the key points of a new Sardinian economy, which have ensured the success of our demonstrations.
The Taloro equestrian tourism centre is immersed in a thick forest of live oak and strawberry trees, which acts as a frame for the beautiful Lake Gusana. It offers the chance for all horse lovers to do amazing rides around the lake, accompanied by expert guides who impart their knowledge about the surrounding area and who will escort you into the areas of Supramonte di Orgosolo, Barbagia di Seulo, Ogliastra and Mandrolisai for a few days or just for a simple morning.
There is always an opportunity to sample the local, genuine and abundant cuisine during our trails.
Overnight accommodation is also available at the Centre.
The Centre is authorised by the FISE, Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri (Italian Equestrian Sport Federation).
